30 Day Shred
I have been hearing a lot about Jillian Michales 30 Day Shred lately. I have not yet tried it myself, but others are saying really good things about it. There was a time I was not a huge fan of hers..she just came off so ..harsh? Well, now being a trainer myself..I find that I am more like her than I would have thought. Even my clients have said that I could be a “Jillian” on the Biggest Loser…compliment maybe??
Here is a description her 30 Day Shred Workouts:
Three well-structured aero/tone interval workouts led by “The Biggest Loser” trainer. These fast-paced exercises will keep you burning fat as you sculpt muscle. The programs build in intensity; you can start with the intermediate level and work up to the advanced program (it’s tough! — moves like plyo-lunges and traveling pushups). Each workout has three “cycles.” Each cycle starts with three minutes of multi-muscle and isolated strength training. Then it’s two minutes of non-dancy kickbox and athletic-style cardio. That’s followed by one minute of classic abwork (then — no rest — you’ll immediately start a new cycle). Like on the TV show, Jillian is both demanding and supportive. Requires 3 to 5 lb.
Over at “The 3 Month Netflix Weight Loss Plan“, she had to say this about the workout:
“Well I can honestly say that this workout is an awesome butt kicker that builds muscular and cardiovascular stamina in a very short amount of time. I love it - a true sweatfest each and every time.”
Here is another review…
All of what I have read is that it is a good, hard workout. Something I might have to check out here sometime. Has anyone else tried this workout and what do you think about it?
I also found out that Jillian does an online radio show on Sunday mornings on KFI AM 640 - More Stimulating Talk Radio, but all of her past shows are still available for download or to listen to online. I am definitely going to give those a listen to!

I’ve got this video! I really like it. I’ve only tried the first level but its quite good. A lot of it is similar to my boot camp except compressed into a shorter time frame, so thats kind of cool. It definitely works up a sweat and keeps you working HARD.
