Have You Set New Goals Lately?

I have been wanting to sit down and actually think about my goals, not just fitness goals, but life goals. My friend Carmel has been talking about Dax Moy’s The Magic 100 ebook and how it has really made a difference in how things are working in her life, so I thought…Heck..why not!

First I needed to set aside time to do it..which was where I was having trouble. “Do I really have the time to sit down and think about my goals? Why can’t I just ‘know’ them and do them?” Well, we all know how that goes. I got sidetracked about 5x just trying to read The Magic 100. It seems as if I always have to be multi-tasking, which is one thing I am really trying hard NOT to do.

It was a good read..very good advice in the beginning. It was almost retraining my brain a little (which it most definitely needs!) Then instead of Dax telling you to write down 100 goals, he breaks them down into categories. Awesome..so much easier to decide what they are when they are broken down. Categories such as Health, Family, Career, Finances and so on.

One of the first things he has you do is write down all the ‘open windows’ or unfinished tasks that are taking up all of your mental energy. For me this list could go on and on..and what this allows you to do is to open your mind and allow you to start sorting things out and deciding what goals you want to accomplish in 100 days.

Since Health was the first category (and so far all the further I have gotten) I thought I would share my goals with you.

1. I will plan my meals ahead of time.

2. I will no longer crave or succumb to my cravings and look for other alternatives.

3. I will reach 17% BF ( a looooooong time goal of mine) byt my birthday this year. (September 5)

4. I will drink 3-34 oz waters each day and add at least one cup of green tea.

5. I will get 7.5-8 hours of sleep every night.

6. I will eat only healthy foods that will help my body reach my goal of 17% BF.

So far, that is all that I have. I do feel that my health is in good condition and the goals I am trying for are just goal for myself, to make me feel better and give myself something to work towards.

So, if you haven’t set your goals or are stuck at how to even go about setting them, then check out The Magic 100 and you will be unstoppable! I plan to keep you updated on how well I do on my goals and what other Magic 100 goals I reach!

  2. Great sensible list of goals. I enjoyed your advice and plan to incorporate your goals into my habits too. My big hurdle is to plan meals ahead of time instead of last minute, but I will try!

  4. Hey Angie!

Glad to see you’ve decided to ‘play’ the MAGIC Hundred. The health goals look great. Can I just advise that you don’t make all your goals ’sensible’ (I know, that’s a first from a goals guy) and instead set some really ‘out there’ goals too.

Make ‘em big, make ‘em huge but make ‘em fun too!

  5. Ok a list like this could be helpful as a part of a therapy but in my eyes it´s kind of deprivation of personal freedom. But sometimes it´s necessary. Wish you good luck.
