Have you heard of or tried the new energy drink that Lance Armstrong promotes? It’s called FRS Healthy Energy. It is said to boost your energy, enhance your metabolism, increase your focus and strengthen your immune system. Wow..sounds like a great product to me!

I did some searching of reviews of the FRS Energy Drinks and found these:

Well the orange flavor is quite strong and there is a noticeable green tea taste as well. This sounds like it would be a bad combination but it is pulled off quite nicely. Don’t get me wrong, it does have a slight bitter aftertaste, but in my mind the extra health benefits discussed above by far outweigh this slight bitter taste. Combine that with only 25 calories in the entire can and you have a great drink! Taste Rating - 8.4

So the taste is not too bad, especially considering all the health benefits. But how is the kick? Well the energy ingredients in the orange FRS are the same as all the others which include green tea extract (85 milligrams), caffeine and b-vitamins. Now the kick is not immediate, but within 15 minutes I could tell I had some extra juice in my system. The best part about the FRS Energy Drinks is not the initial boost, it is the sustained energy that you get coupled with no crash. Add the metabolic benefits and you have a good tasting drink that provides a sustained kick. Not bad at all. Kick Rating - 8.9

FRS lemon lime Antioxidant Energy Drink
Cost: $18 128 oz (less than a dollar for every 8 oz)

This drink has a pretty good creamy lime flavor, but like other FRS drinks has some fiber or cardboard like after taste. This drink was a little more bitter than the other flavors, I think I like the berry flavor of FRS the best. I think the orange and berry flavors work really well for a breakfast addition, a healthy way to start your day, but I can’t see myself waking up and wanting a lime flavored drink. I like the pre mixed bottles way more than the large concentrate that you mix yourself, so I really recommend finding the pre mixed bottles if you want to try this. Now this isn’t a pump you up and run around dancing and drinking kind of energy drink, this is a start your morning healthy with a nice pick me up kind of drink, and for that purpose it is well suited. I just which they could do something to make it a tiny smoother with less of a fiber like aftertaste, if they could get that aftertaste out of the drink. This would also be a great pick me up before a morning exam in college. I guess it works just as well as the other FRS drinks, but like i said I really see this as a morning drink, and I just can see the lemon lime flavor in the morning, so this gets a lower score than the other flavors, but if lemon lime is a flavor you really like i guess give this one a shot.
