My Training and Lack of Motivation
It has been a while since I updated on my training here, so thought it was now time! I am still in the Turbulence Training Contest, but don’t think I have a very good chance of winning. I just don’t know where my motivation has gone. I keep up with my workouts and eat pretty well, but just don’t have the DRIVE to really make any drastic changes. It could be that my body is a place where I am content and happy. I feel I am in a maintenance stage right now and I know how extreme I would have to be to really drop some body fat, I just don’t know if I am ready or willing to do that. By extreme, I mean, picking up the cardio again, which I haven’t done in months and really cleaning up my eating and watching my calories. It’s so much work! I KNOW I can do it, just not sure I really want to.
I am going to see my friend in Washington State next week, and she too is a personal trainer. We have both lacked in the motivation department lately, so what we did was decide to push each other until I go to see her. We also made a deal that who ever made the most changes by that time would receive a gift from the other person. It actually helped me this week to really stay on track with my meals. I don’t have problems getting in my workouts, its just eating. I can’t help it..I love food!
So to update on my workouts, I am now doing the BW-DB Fusion Supersets Fat Loss Workouts. Now these take a bit longer that the circuit ones I was doing, so I am adapting them to work for my schedule. This week has been:
Monday: Workout A
Tuesday: Circuits
Wednesday: Day off (pretty sore starting new workouts)
Thursday: Workout B
Friday: Circuits
I think I am going to bring back intervals on the treadmill, maybe 10 minutes a day, 5x a week. Start out slowly and see what effect it has on my back. I did boot camp with my class last night and noticed how hard it was for me to breathe. I had no trouble keeping up, just my cardiovascular didn’t seem up to par. I didn’t like that. Maybe the cardio will make me motivated a bit more too. I do miss it, which I didn’t think I would ever say…
Here is a bit of exercise motivation for you!
