Yummy, Healthy Post Workout Meal

This is another favorite recipe of mine that is in the Gourmet Nutrition Cookbook. If you haven’t checked it out, you have to! I cannot say enough about this amazing cookbook! It makes meal planning and cooking so dang EASY!! I love this cookbook so much, it never sees a drawer! It’s always out on my counter or table and is full of muck!

The recipe is called “Turkey Sausage and Yam Hash Browns”

I adapt the recipe to suite my needs, but stick pretty close to it. This time I only had a sweet potato, so used that instead of yams. I also added the eggs, because I wanted to get more protein and calories in the meal.

Ingredients:(what I used)

Turkey Sausage

Sweet potato

Garlic

Cinnamon

Salt and Pepper

Saute’ turkey sausage in olive oil, then add (precooked) sweet potato, cut in chunks. Add garlic, cinnamon, salt and pepper. That’s it! Perfect post workout meal!
